Abstract
45 parents of Williams-Beuren-syndrome children in preschool and schoo l age describe behavioral patterns and parenting stress by psychologic al questionnaires. Characteristic features are over-friendliness with strangers, hyperacusis, stubborness, overactivity and selective eating habits. 75 % of school aged and 2/3 of preschool aged children are cl assified as behaviorally disturbed. Maternal interactional stress in p arenting is increased.
