Jh. Sinsky et Cr. Westgate, A NEW APPROACH TO DESIGNING ACTIVE MMIC TUNING ELEMENTS USING 2ND-GENERATION CURRENT CONVEYORS, IEEE microwave and guided wave letters, 6(9), 1996, pp. 326-328
A new method for designing active monolithic microwave integrated circ
uit (MMIC) tuning elements is proposed, It mill be shown that by using
a cascade of GaAs PET's, one can closely model a second-generation cu
rrent conveyor (CCII-) at microwave frequencies and thus synthesize ma
ny types of microwave circuit elements, including positive and negativ
e active capacitors and inductors, and gyrators. As a result of this d
iscovery, current conveyor synthesis techniques can now be directly ap
plied to microwave circuit design.
