Abstract
The effect of solid particles on the flow characteristics of axisymmet ric turbulent coaxial jets has been studied. A laser Doppler anemomete r was used to measure the mean and fluctuating velocities of the two p hases. Both 50 and 200 mu m silica particles were used. Experimental r esults are presented which indicate a significant influence of the sol id particles on the flow characteristics.
