A NEW CONCEPT OF COMBINED TRANSFORMERS

The basic characteristics of a new concept of combined transformers co nsisting of an inverse current transformer and a voltage transformer w ith open core, are described. The results of the research and testing of impulse and AC distribution, accuracy class, influence of the curre nt transformer on the voltage transformer and vice versa are given. Th anks to its technology and simplicity, the new concept allows the comm ercial manufacture of combined transformers for the highest equipment voltages up to 420 kV inclusive.
