Nd. Ivanova et al., CATHODIC INCORPORATION OF LITHIUM INTO PRODUCTS OF THE PARTIAL ELECTROREDUCTION OF COPPER IONS, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 32(8), 1996, pp. 854-857
The correlation between the physical and electrochemical properties of
products of the partial reduction of copper ions is studied. The prod
ucts represent a heterogeneous system containing the copper metal and
oxide-hydroxide compounds of Cu(I) of nonstoichiometric composition. L
ithium ions are found to be more mobile in copper oxides of nonstoichi
ometric composition, compared with stoichiometric oxides. It is shown
that the deviation of oxide composition from stoichiometry and the rat
e of mass transfer can be purposefully varied by the conditions under
which the compound is electrochemically synthesized.
