Abstract
By means of transport reaction (900-->700 degrees C, Iodine as transpo rt agent) pure Co5Ge3 or Co5Ge3 with CoGe as a byproduct can be prepar ed. Thermodynamic calculations allow to understand the reaction semiqu antitatively.
