Abstract
The temporoparietal fascial flap is useful in reconstructions of the h ands and feet as tendon gliding material, but it is difficult to monit or its viability postoperatively. We have monitored such flaps by atta ching a small preauricular skin flap 2 x 1 cm in size to the vascular pedicle. This preauricular island flap can be used as a ''monitoring'' flap.
