Abstract
The amplitudes for the (B) over bar-->D pi and Dpi decays are describ ed in terms of a sum of a factorized amplitude as the short distance c ontribution and a hard pion amplitude as the long distance contributio n. It is demonstrated that the long distance amplitude is rather small but still can efficiently interfere with the main amplitude.
