Abstract
The taxonomy and ecology of the porcellanid crab, Aliaporcellana teles tophila, is elaborated upon. Variations in the structure of the carapa ce and chelipeds are documented and figured. The species, previously t hought to be a commensal of Telesto (Clavulariidae), is shown to be ac tually associated with another octocoral, Solenocaulon (Anthothelidae) .
