Abstract
In many extrusion lines today, melt pumps are state-of-the-art technol ogy The combination of a co-rotating twin-screw extruder, operating pa rtly filled, with a gear pump makes it particularly difficult to desig n a suitable control system for linking the plant components. A specif ic solution to this problem has recently been developed and is present ed here.
