Abstract
Polyvinyl chloride-graphite electrodes modified by the reversible quin one-hydroquinone redox systems were used to evaluate pH of aqueous ele ctrolyte solutions at temperatures below 0 degrees C. The measurements at temperatures below 0 degrees C were carried out in a specially des igned thermostated potentiometric apparatus. A series of acid-base equ ilibria in 3 M aqueous KCl solution were studied, and operating charac teristics of these electrodes were determined.
