Ag. Morachevskii et al., REMOVAL OF ANTIMONY FROM LEAD WHEN PROCESSING ACTIVE SUBSTANCES OF LEAD BATTERY SCRAP, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 69(1), 1996, pp. 57-59
Removal of antimony impurity from lead by anodic polarization of the r
efined metal in sodium hydroxide melt (400 degrees C) was investigated
under lab conditions. A decrease of antimony content in lead from 1 t
o less than 0.005 wt% was achieved at anodic current densities in the
range of 0.04-0.4 A cm(-2).
