Abstract
Tetrabenzylgermanium, [Ge(C7H7)(4)], crystallizes with approximate (4) over bar (S-4) molecular symmetry and with almost perfect staggering about the Ge-C bonds. The Ge-C-C angles are significantly larger than the tetrahedral value, with a mean value of 115 (1)degrees.
