Abstract
The structure of the title compound, [SnCl4(C34H28FeO2P2)], shows the 1,1'-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene ligand connected to an octahedral Sn atom through the formation of P-O bonds. The molecule has near two fold rotational symmetry through the line joining the Fe and Sn atoms, The cyclopentadienyl (Cp) rings are perfectly eclipsed but the two C- Cp-P bonds are at an angle of 72 degrees about the centroids of the Cp rings.
