Abstract
The title compound, C7H6Cl2N4, is a push-pull acetylene. The minimum d istance between the centers of triple bonds of 5.27 (3) Angstrom is un suitably long for solid-state polymerization. The molecule shows the e xpected delocalization of the pi electrons. The molecular geometry dev iates from the chemical mirror plane perpendicular to the molecular pl ane.
