Abstract
The title compound, 2-azidoethylammonium 3-nitro-1 ,2,4-triazol-5-onat e, N3CH2CH2NH3+.C2HN4O3-, is a new salt of 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-5-one . The triazole ring is planar within 0.0067 (5) Angstrom, the nitro gr oup is rotated 14.0(4)degrees out of the ring plane. The H atom on the anion is in position 1.
