Mastigodiaptomus montezumae is redescribed on the basis of material fr
om several localities in Mexico. It is characterized by an asymmetrica
l fifth pediger in both sexes. It appears to be restricted to central
Mexico, where it is quite common. It is associated with M. albuguerque
nsis and occasionally with L. siciloides and Leptodiaptomus novamexica
nus.
