Abstract
A hypothesis of the mechanism of the retention of one (stationary) pha se of a two-phase liquid system in a rotating coil column has been pro posed. The balance of forces of different nature acting on the station ary phase retained in the coil column has been considered. The basic e quation of the retention process stationarity has been derived. Theore tical dependencies of retention factor on rotational speed for hydroph obic systems and experimental data are in good agreement.
