Abstract
The kinetics of the reaction between ethylene oxide and acetic acid an d side reactions was studied under conditions of base catalysis and ex haustion of acetic acid. The mathematical model of the process was pro posed, which accounts for the acetate-to-alcoholate catalyst transform ation and describes the experimental data within broad regions of reac tant concentrations.
