Abstract
In this Nose, we study the application of the mixed finite elements me thod (MFE) for the simulation of the simplified hydrodynamic and energ y transport models. The two main points are, firstly the use of ''quas i-entropic'' variables which gives a symmetric definite positive probl em and secondly the coupled computation of the equations, which requir es a generalization of the MFE method for vector valued problems. We o btain a first validation of our method with some results on a ballisti c diode n(+)-n-n(+).
