Abstract
1,3-Dimethylbenzimidazolyl-2-azohetaryls are proposed for determining thallium(III). A highly selective extraction-photometric procedure is developed for determining thallium traces as ion pairs formed by its t etrachloride complex and cations of azo compounds. The procedure is us ed for analyzing high-purity grade Cd(NO3)(2) . 4H(2)O salt and rain w ater.
