Ea. Zakharova et al., DETERMINATION OF MERCURY IN WATER AND ALCOHOLIC DRINKS BY STRIPPING VOLTAMMETRY, Journal of analytical chemistry, 51(9), 1996, pp. 918-923
A procedure is developed for determining mercury at concentrations equ
al to and lower than the maximum permissible concentration in various
waters and drinks by stripping voltammetry with a gold-graphite electr
ode prepared in situ. The conditions for obtaining an analytical signa
l and for preparing a photochemical sample are optimized. The performa
nce characteristics of the procedure are given. The determination of m
ercury in the above mentioned materials can be carried out automatical
ly by using a computerized voltammetric analyzer produced by the Tekhn
oanalit Company, which provides photochemical preparation and simultan
eous analysis of three samples.
