Abstract
A method has been developed for the direct group determination of rare -earth elements and Y at a level of n x 10(-4)-n x 10(-6)% by inductiv ely coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry after the microwave de composition of samples. The method is simple and convenient; the time of decomposition is reduced by 80%. This method was used to analyze st andard reference materials: KH limestone, ST-1A trap, and BM-1 basalt. The obtained results were compared with certified values and the resu lts of the determination of rare-earth elements after preconcentration and shown to be highly repeatable.
