Abstract
We present a domain decomposition method for the solution of acoustic and elastodynamic problems in two-dimensional heterogeneous media. The problem is formulated in a variational form and the spatial discretiz ation is based on the spectral Legendre collocation method. The matchi ng conditions ail subdomain interfaces are discussed. The numerical va lidation illustrates the accuracy, flexibility and robustness of our m ethod.
