Abstract
Tin (IV) derivatives of benzilmono hydra-zone of the type [GRAPHICS] S nCl4-a; n = 1-4 have been synthesised by the reaction of sodium salt o f the ligand with tin tetrachloride in desired molar rations in non- a queous media. All these compounds were soluble in common organic solve nts. These derivatives have been characterised by elemental and spectr al (IR & NMR) Studies. IR studies show that the keto carbonyl group is not involved in coordination.
