Qc. Zhang et al., THE MEASUREMENT AND CALCULATION OF RADIATIVE HEAT-TRANSFER BETWEEN UNCOATED AND DOPED TIN OXIDE-COATED GLASS SURFACES, International journal of heat and mass transfer, 40(1), 1997, pp. 61-71
Accurate measurements are reported of the radiative heat transfer betw
een parallel surfaces of uncoated and doped tin oxide coated glass. Th
e infrared properties of the tin oxide coated glass are calculated by
a novel approach by fitting a three parameter Drude model to reflectan
ce measurements at a specified angle, and over a restricted range of w
avelengths. Estimates of the radiative heat transfer between uncoated
and coated glass surfaces are calculated from a consideration of the d
irectional spectral emittances and the blackbody spectrum. This proced
ure gives results that are in more consistent agreement with experimen
tal measurements than results obtained by considering the hemispherica
l total, or directional total emittances. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier
