Abstract
The use of a palladium cathode saturated with tritium in the electroly sis of heavy water (T-D experiments) was found to result in a dramatic enhancement of the generation of hard radiation (likely neutrons) as compared with the conventional Pd cathode (D-D experiments). This isot ope effect is viewed as support for the hypothesis on the occurrence o f cold fusion reactions in the electrolysis of D2O with a Pd cathode.
