Europium doped potassium chloride (KCl:Eu) phosphor ceramics for two-d
imensional X-ray or UV-ray imaging sensor utilizing photostimulated lu
minescence phenomenon (PSL) were prepared. Investigation of Eu concent
ration dependence of the PSL in X-ray or UV-ray irradiated KCI:Eu phos
phor ceramics was carried out. An intense PSL with a peak at about 420
nm was observed in 0.5 mol% Eu doped KCI phosphor ceramics which is f
abricated by sintering at about 700 degrees C in air.
