R. Hartel et al., PRETREATMENT OF SPECIAL SAMPLES FROM WASTE INCINERATION FOR ANALYSIS BY TOTAL-REFLECTION X-RAY-FLUORESCENCE, Spectrochimica acta, Part B: Atomic spectroscopy, 51(13), 1996, pp. 1647-1653
The use of ion exchange processes as sample pretreatment steps for TXR
F analysis has been studied in order to improve the detection sensitiv
ity or to provide information on the speciation of individual elements
. EDTrA cellulose proved to be an excellent exchange material for heav
y metal enrichment, for Hg separation, and for elimination of alkaline
and earth-alkaline salts. Sephadex SP C25 and QAE A25 can be used to
separate Pb and As and to verify the ionic state of the elements V, Cr
, As, Se, Mo, Sb and W.
