Abstract
For the resolution of (+/-)-2-hydroxymethyl-2,5-dihydrothiophene lipas e-catalysed acetylation as well as hydrolysis and alcoholysis of the c orresponding acetate were investigated, the best results being obtaine d in alcoholysis catalysed by lipase from Pseudomonas flurorescens wit h butanol in organic solvent.
