A potential agent for the imaging of tumours has been synthesized from
the antineoplastic agent chlorambucil. Standard peptide coupling tech
niques were used to synthesize a tripeptide covalently coupled to chlo
rambucil in 10 steps. The final product was characterized by high-reso
lution NMR spectroscopy.
