5-Amino-3-pentynoic acid, a new 'lightly' constrained amino acid surro gate for glycyl-glycine and model for dipeptide homologues was prepare d from propargylamine and methods were devised for its incorporation i nto linear oligopeptides through both C- and N-terminal extension.
