Introduction. The case of a patient originary from Angola who presente
d subcutaneous and neurologic cysticercosis is reported. Observation.
The patient was refered for tile etiological diagnosis of recurrent se
izures. The diagnosis was made by histologic examination of a subcutan
eous lesion. Comments. We review the clinical caracteristics of subcut
aneous cysticercosis. The association of subcutaneous nodules and sign
s of central nervous involvement occurring in a patient originary from
an area where cysticercosis is endemic, must be suspected of cysticer
cosis.
