Abstract
Two new species of Xyris (Xyridaceae) are described and illustrated, b oth endemic to western Pinar del Rio Province, Cuba. Differences betwe en these and two closely related species, X. navicularis Griseb. and X . bicarinata Griseb., are discussed. A key to the four species is incl uded.
