Abstract
We describe a novel class of materials that self-assemble into equilib
rium network structures with a well-defined pore size that permit elec
trophoretic DNA sequencing, in capillary columns, with excellent repro
ducibility. These polymers, poly(ethylene glycols) end-capped with mic
elle-forming fluorocarbon tails, form flowable aqueous networks that h
ave unusual rheological properties.
