Abstract
Synthesis of a novel new fluorocarbon film is reported. This film is o btained by plasma polymerization of a trimer mixture of substituted pe rfluorohexenses (C9F18). Use of low groups are the dominant functional group wave plasmas provides films in which -CF3 present. These -CF3 r ich films are exceptionally hydrophobic as revealed by water angle mea surements.
