Abstract
We calculate the electronic contribution kappa(e) to the thermal condu ctivity of a two-dimensional d(x2-y2)-wave superconductor presenting l ogarithmic Van Hove singularities (VHS) in the density of states. The influence of the position of these VHS from the Fermi level on the the rmal conductivity peak observed below T-c is investigated. Experimenta l results on different YBa2Cu3O7-x compounds with various oxygen stoic hiometry x can be well described by this model with reasonable values of the physical parameters.
