Abstract
First-order quasiphase matched blue light generation in a LiNbO3 optic al superlattice was performed by direct frequency doubling of a contin uous wave 978-nm diode laser. 1.27 mW output power of blue light was o btained with an incidence power of 500 mW. The frequency conversion ef ficiency is 0.25%. (C) 1996 American Institute of Physics.
