Abstract
The sensitivity of cavity Q-factor measurements in the cavity perturba tion method can be improved by using the differential averaging techni que. The complex permittivity of low-loss dielectric samples are accur ately obtained by evaluating the differential averaging values among t he original and perturbed frequency responses.
