TORULOPSIS PNEUMONIA - A CASE-REPORT AND REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

Torulopsis glabrata is a rare cause of pneumonia in immunocompromised patients. We herein describe the case of an elderly man who presented with fulminant Torulopsis pneumonia and septic shock leading to death. We then review the literature, describe the clinical syndrome, and de lineate an approach to diagnosis and treatment of Torulopsis pneumonia .
