EFFECT OF INDUSTRIAL-POLLUTION ON RADIAL INCREMENT OF LARIX GMELINII (PINACEAE)

The effect of industrial air pollution by enterprises of nonferrous me tallurgy on the radial increment of the Dahurian larch in the north of Middle Siberia was studied by the method of dendrochrolonogy. The neg ative effect of aerotechnogenic pollution of the Noril'sk mining and s melting complex is expressed in depression of the radial increment of the trees both near the source of pollution and in the region not subj ect to the direct effect of industrial waste. The latter suggests that the zone of influence of atmospheric waste of industrial enterprises on the environment has recently markedly enlarged in the north of Midd le Siberia.
