Three-dimensional derivative - fluorescence spectrometry is first deve
loped and applied to the simultaneous determination of polyaromatic hy
drocarbons, naphthalene, pyrene and perylene, by measuring total fluor
escence intensity. The results show that three-dimensional derivative-
fluorescence spectrometry is superior in respect of selectivity to thr
ee-dimensional fluorescence spectrometry and the sensitivity, the sign
al to noise, of three-dimensional derivative - fluorescence spectromet
ry is improved by 10 similar to 20 folds. The analytical results of na
phthalene, pyrene and perylene are satisfactory.
