EXAMINATION OF THE DEGREE OF ALIGNMENT IN SINTERED ND-FE-B MAGNETS BYMEASUREMENTS OF THE REMANENT POLARIZATIONS

A new method for the calculation of the average angle of misorientatio n, phi, and for the saturation polarization, J(S), for rare earth perm anent magnets is presented. According to this method, phi and J(S) can be derived from the measurements of the remanent polarizations, paral lel and perpendicular to the easy axis of the magnetization, J(r) or J (r perpendicular to), respectively. The results are in good agreement with the evaluation of J(S) obtained by measurements in a vibrating sa mple magnetometer.
