Abstract
The addition of vanadium increases the squareness of the second quadra nt curve of NdFeB melt-spun type I and II magnets. This effect is attr ibuted to the limitation of the grain growth during the quench and als o, for type II magnets, during the hot compression. Cobalt or copper p owder is used as a metallic binder to increase the densification.
