D. Eckert et al., COMPARISON OF MAGNETIZATION PROCESSES IN DIFFERENTLY PREPARED SM2FE17N3 PERMANENT-MAGNETS, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 158, 1996, pp. 93-94
Sm2Fe17N3 magnets were prepared by Zn-bonding of coarse grained powder
, additional milling after nitrogenation, or grain refinement of Sm2Fe
17 by HDDR. They exhibit significant differences in microstructure and
magnetization behaviour, but show common differences to sintered Nd-F
e-B, possibly due to the presence of very small particles. During long
milling, Sm2Fe17N3 powders become exchange coupled two phase material
s.
