Sa. Sinan et al., PREPARATION OF SM10.2FE85.8NB4 NITRIDE-BASED PERMANENT-MAGNET BY HDDRPROCESS, Journal of magnetism and magnetic materials, 158, 1996, pp. 101-102
Sm10.2Fe85.8Nb4 as-cast alloy was HDDR (hydrogenation disproportionati
on desorption recombination) treated and then nitrided. Disproportiona
tion-recombination was performed at 770-810 degrees C, and nitriding a
t 470-480 degrees C. Coercivities of up to 520 kA/m were attained. The
combination of the Nb addition, which avoids homogenisation treatment
s, and HDDR, which avoids post-nitriding milling, could offer particul
ar advantages with respect to the processing of this material.
