The magnetocrystalline anisotropy in DyFe12-xVx-yCy has been studied b
y torsion magnetometry and ac susceptibility measurements in the tempe
rature range 4.2-293 K. Carbon solution, unlike vanadium, increases bo
th the saturation magnetization and the magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
Changes in the Fe sublattice anisotropies are observed.
