Abstract
From investigations of the playback spectrum and the local magneto-opt ical investigation of magnetization on the working surface of a two-la yer MIG head, the existence of two additional magnetic gaps at the fer rite/permalloy and permalloy/sendust interfaces has been established. It is concluded that the magnetic field over the former interface is m uch greater than over the latter.
