Abstract
We observed a 'gigantic' increase (up to three times) of the AFMR freq uencies nu(1,2) with decreasing temperature in GdFe0.9Al0.1O3 and TbFe 0.925Al0.075O3 in contrast to pure GdFeO3 and TbFeO3. The effects obse rved are explained by the appearance of an additional exchange field H (mv)approximate to=20-36 kOe on rare-earth ions due to decompensation of the surrounding antiferromagnetically ordered Fe ions near nonmagne tic impurity ions.
