Abstract
Thin magnetic films similar to 100 nm thick and 10 mm diameter have be en deposited using a pulsed CO2 laser from targets of reflowed Metglas (R) 2605 SC ribbon. These films are found to have coercivities of H-c approximate to 9 Oe in the plane of the film and H-c approximate to 17 1 Oe perpendicular to the plane. X-ray diffraction has shown there to be some alpha-Fe present in the films.
